NOMINATION/ENTRY

The nomination and entry process for the NIGERIA Technology Awards (NiTA) is open to eligible individuals, professionals, businesses, private companies, government agencies, public institutions, organizations and other entities operating in Nigeria that use, develop, implement or deploy technology to deliver products, services, solutions, processes or other technology-enabled initiatives.

Nominees and organizations must meet the applicable eligibility requirements of the relevant award category and, where applicable, be duly registered or legally established in Nigeria.

NOMINATION & ENTRY SCREENING
Following the close of the Nomination and Entry Process, the NiTA Awards Organizers and Nomination & Screening Team will review and assess all submitted nominations and entries to determine their eligibility, completeness and suitability for the relevant award category.

The preliminary screening may include:

  • Verification of eligibility requirements.
  • Review of submitted information and supporting documentation.
  • Assessment of the nominee’s relevance to the selected award category.
  • Verification of professional, organizational or business information where applicable.
  • Review of demonstrated technology usage, innovation, achievements and impact.
  • Identification of incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or unverifiable submissions.

Only entries that satisfy the applicable eligibility and screening requirements will proceed to the formal NiTA Judging Process.

RECLASSIFICATION & RE-CATEGORIZATION
The NiTA Awards Organizers reserve the right to reclassify, re-categorize or transfer a nomination or entry to another award category where the submitted information indicates that another category is more appropriate.

Where necessary, the Awards Organizers may contact the nominee or entrant for clarification or additional information before making such a determination.

The Awards Organizers also reserve the right to remove or disqualify entries that:

  • Do not meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Do not satisfy the requirements of the selected award category.
  • Contain materially false, misleading or inaccurate information.
  • Lack sufficient supporting evidence.
  • Are incomplete or substantially inconsistent with the published entry guidelines.
  • Contain information or claims that cannot reasonably be verified.
  • Otherwise fail to comply with the official NiTA Nomination & Entry Terms and Conditions.

Entries that differ substantially from the published entry requirements or guidelines may be disqualified or excluded from further consideration without prior notice.

JUDGING & ASSESSMENT

Following successful eligibility screening and verification, qualified entries will be submitted to the designated NIGERIA Technology Awards (NiTA) Judging Panel for independent assessment.

The judging process is based on the applicable NiTA Judging & Assessment Criteria, which may include:

  • Technology Usage & Digital Transformation.
  • Innovation & Creativity.
  • Professional or Organizational Excellence.
  • Achievements & Performance.
  • Impact & Results.
  • Industry Contribution.
  • Leadership & Influence.
  • Quality & Effectiveness.
  • Sustainability & Scalability.
  • Supporting Evidence & Verification.
  • Alignment with the objectives of the relevant award category.

The Judging Panel may apply additional category-specific criteria where necessary.

NiTA does not use public voting, online voting, popularity voting or any other form of public voting as a basis for determining award winners.

Award outcomes are determined through the official NiTA judging, assessment and verification process.

CONFIDENTIALITY & SUBMITTED INFORMATION
Information submitted as part of a NIGERIA Technology Awards (NiTA) nomination or entry may be reviewed by the Awards Organizers, Nomination & Screening Team, Judging Panel and other authorized persons involved in the administration and assessment of the Awards.

Unless otherwise expressly stated by the Awards Organizers, entrants should not submit confidential, commercially sensitive, proprietary, classified or restricted information that they are not prepared to disclose for the purpose of administering and assessing the Awards.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that any information submitted to NiTA may lawfully be provided for the purposes of nomination, screening, verification, judging, communications and Awards administration.

Where an entrant identifies specific information as confidential at the point of submission, the Awards Organizers will take reasonable steps to treat such information in accordance with the applicable NiTA policies and procedures.

However, nominees should not assume that submission of information to NiTA creates an obligation of confidentiality unless expressly confirmed by the Awards Organizers.

Participation in the NIGERIA Technology Awards (NiTA) Nomination and Entry Process is subject to the official Nomination & Entry Terms and Conditions.

Entrants and nominees are advised to carefully review the applicable Terms and Conditions before submitting a nomination or entry.
